Railway Ticket Exam/Ticket Collector Exam is an All-India, paper-pen based entrance test directed by any of the 19 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) affiliated to the Ministry of Railways of the Government of India for recruitment of Railway Ticket examiner in India. This exam is not conducted by one particular RRB nor it is conducted every year. Railway ticket examiner recruitment 2015 will be conducted as and when there is a need for ticket collector jobs in railways.

Indian Railway Ticket Examiner /TC Exam Vacancy details:-
Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTI) in Indian Railways is a Group 'C' level post.
Salary Scale:- Rs 5,200- Rs 20,200+ Rs 1,800 grade pay
Age Limit:- 18 to 30 years of age.
Upper Age Limit is relaxable as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:-
•Matriculation (Class 10/Std X/SSC/SSLC) or equivalent from a recognized board of education with not less than 50 percent marks in total.
•Those who have completed their diploma or 12th class can also apply for the same.
•Graduates are also qualified for this post provided they are not above the specified age limits.
Job Description of Ticket Collector :-
Railway Ticket Examiner is one among the front line staff of Indian Railways coming in direct contact with passengers.
The key responsibilities of a Ticket collector include
a) charge of reserved coaches
b) guidance to passengers
c) checking tickets in reserved or unreserved coachers or at the station platform
d) manning (being incharge) of the enquiry counter at Railway station.
e) any other task as prescribed during the course of duty.
Promotion:- Following are the grade posts available in terms of promotion:
•Senior Ticket Collector/ Traveling Ticket Examiner
•Head Ticket Collector/ Senior Traveling Ticket Examiner
•Traveling Ticket Inspector/ Conductor
•Chief Ticket Inspector
Ticket Collectors are also eligible for being considered for promotion as Goods Guards and Enquiry-cum-Reservation Clerks as per procedure laid down for filling up post in these categories.
Railway Ticket Examiner /TC Exam pattern consists of two stages namely:
STAGE 01: Written Examination
STAGE 02: Verification of documents

Railway Ticket Examiner /Ticket Collector Exam Paper Pattern:-
Railway Ticket Examiner /Ticket Collector Exam paper will consists of multiple objective type questions in areas of General Awareness, arithmetic, General Intelligence and reasoning and Language General Hindi / General English. Set in languages of English, Hindi, Urdu and other regional languages. This exam consisting of about 100 to 120 questions need to be answered in a time of 90 minutes (one hour).
There shall be negative marking in written examinations and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the allotted marks for each question.
